Fireside RV Resort celebrates Halloween with a family friendly Spooktacular every October in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, on the New Orleans Northshore. Registered guests enjoy trick-or-treating, a pumpkin carving contest, bingo, a jambalaya cook-off, hay rides, a costume contest, a site decorating competition, and live music. It’s a safe, small-town Halloween the whole family can enjoy together.
Summer 2026 update: Fireside’s Halloween Spooktacular returns on Saturdays throughout October 2026, with Spooky Spins DJ dance parties on the Friday nights in between. October sites and cabins fill up fast, so many guests are already booking ahead. Reserve early to make sure your family has a spot for the trick-or-treat weekends.

The National Retail Federation reported that U.S. Halloween spending reached a record $13.1 billion in 2025, with about 73 percent of Americans planning to celebrate (source). At Fireside, that celebration is all about family, costumes, and good old campground fun.
